Rapid expansion of the Internet holds substantial promise for developing nations, which can benefit greatly from the modern communication and information delivery capabilities. Developing countries have much to gain from that revolution in communication and information access due to slow, expensive or nonexistent transport and communications infrastructures for delivery of both physical goods and information services.
